Elements And Principals Of Art


                                                             ELEMENTS OF ART


There are seven type of elements of art
1.Point
2.Line
3.Form
4.Colour
5.Tone
6.Texture
7.Space

1.POINT :-Point is the first element of art and first creator of a form. The point has not any width and hight.
2.LINE:-A line, thus, can  be said a symbolic mark denoting movement and force in form-metered by our eye .
Type of line :-1. vertical line , 2 . horizontal line , 3. diagonals line , 4.angles line , 5. radii line ,6. spirals line , 7.rythmic line ,
Types of Drawing :-1. free drawing ,2.memory drawing ,3. representatoinal drawing, 4. mechanical drawing , 5 . contour drawing ,6. gesture  drawing , 7. nature drawing ,8.object drawing .
3.FORM:-Form in two dimensional art is the area containing colour .

4.COLOUR:-Colour is the property of light rather than of bodies.It is not an entity but a sensation conveyed to the nind through media of the eyes .
1.Knowledge of Colour :-Our eyes feel the colours by rods and cones.Rods and cones is the property of Retina.
1.we feel black and white shades by rods and
2.we feel the hue of a colour by cones
Quality of colours :-
1.Hue :- Hue is the part of colours and it helps us to make a difference between colours , leke redness , blue ness .
2.Value :-Value is darkness and lightness of a hue
3.Croma :-croma is the purety of a hue .
Classification of colours :-1. Primars colours :-the colour we get from nature .
                                         2. Secondry colours :-the colours we make mix with primary colours .
     1. mainly three types of primary colours :red,blue , yallow,
     2. secondry colours : green ,violet , orenge ,etc
6.TONE:-
                    Tone denotes lightness and darkness of a hue .
7.TEXTURE:-
                     Texture is the character of the surface (paper)
8.SPACE:-
                      The artist who works in two dimansions being by making marks on a flat surface . The surface is his space the world in which he constructs the plastic order of his art.






                                            PRINCIPALS OF ART

1.UNITY:-
                        There must not be two or more pictures , or subjecti in one work of art.

2.HARMONY:-
                                Harmony is the art principale which produces an impression of unity through the selection and arrengement of consistent objects and ideas.

4.BALANCE:-
                             To be pleading the material within a picture needs balance , or should seem to be pleasantly reposing within the picture limits.

5.DOMINENCE:-
                                      Perheps the most reasonable of all laws of composition is the pldest of them all . The law of special prominence, dominece which requires the predominance of one or more leading objects at tne expense of all the other objects in tbe picture .

6.RHYTHM:-
                           In art , rhythm means an easy , connected path along with eye may travel in any arrangement of lines , forms or colours.

7.PORPORATION:-
                                      To change proportions without shocking us, is the secret of all good proportion and of all good style .
